The Original Case: State of Florida vs. Ford (1974)

Alvin Ford and three accomplices attempted to rob a Red Lobster in Fort Lauderdale, FL. His accomplices abandoned him when the group found out the police was on the way. Ford panicked and decided to steal an officer’s car.
He shot the officer twice in the abdomen and once in the back of the head so he could get the keys and get away. Ford’s case was handled by the Florida Court System and he was sentenced to Death Row to die by electrocution.
